The Himalayan Lavender(Lavendula angustifolia) is produced in limited quantities and has nearly disappeared from the marketplace due to the extraordinary effort required to produce it. But, this organic lavender variety is considered to have more healing properties than any other kind. Researchers have isolated about 160 different chemical substances in the lavender plant; and it is known as the most versatile plant in aromatherapy. Lavender is also a much-loved Mediterranean herb. The word lavender comes from the Latin word lavare ("to wash") and is the root for the word "lavatory." Lavender is a popular oil in today's marketplace and is used in perfume, bath and skin care products primarily because of its soothing and cleansing properties. Lavender is thought to be beneficial for all of the following: headaches, nervousness, stress, exhaustion, insomnia and irritability. The lavender solid perfume is full of emollient oils and butters that actually soften your skin instead of drying it out like alcohol based perfume. Solid perfumes travel easily and will not spill all over the contents of your pocket, bag or purse. Apply the cream perfume just after a shower before dressing. Apply it to a few pulse points such as the back of your hands, along your collarbone, around your navel, in between your breasts, to the inside of your wrists, in the crook of your elbows, in back of your neck, in back of your knees, inside your ankles etc. Lavender essential oil has a low odor intensity and will evaporate more quickly than other florals such as Jasmine Rose or Ylang-Ylang. Since this is a single note perfume with no middle or base notes to help fix the scent, you will find that the aroma will taper off much faster than our signature aromatherapy solid perfumes. You may want to carry one of the travel perfume sticks in your purse or store one in your office drawer so that you can re-apply the perfume as needed.
