Handmade Monoi de Tahiti Tiare Flower (Gardenia) Soap

MONOI (pronounced Mah-noy) de Tahiti is a beautiful infused oil made from Tahitian gardenias called Tiare. The Tiare Gardenia Blossoms are soaked in a semi-wax coconut oil for a period of 15 days until the coconut oil has taken on the aroma of the gardenia petals. Monoi is an ancient Tahitian word meaning "scented oil" in the reo-maohi language. Only the result, of tiare petals soaking in coconut oil, can be called MONOI.

Monoi acts as a natural barrier against dehydration that can cause wrinkles and protects the skin against sun and wind damage. According to the manufacture tests performed over the last few years there is validation of the long standing traditional claims of Monoi de TahitiI®. It is the Polynesian antidote to dry skin. Its skin hydrating qualities are being shown to be superior to those of other natural vegetal oils.

Monoi de TahitiI® is a naturally concentrated emollient which penetrates the skin re-hydrating the layers of the epidermus and shielding the skin against external damages. Lab tests demonstrate, after the very first use, Monoi de TahitiI® helps the skin to look better and healthier. Lab tests verify monoi oil is rich in methyl salicylate which is a skin soothing agent.
